Published April 23, 2007

KARACHI, April 22: Widespread voltage fluctuation across the city has been causing damage to electrical appliances, adding to the woes of KESC consumers.

Harassed consumers of the utility complained that KESC officials were not attending to their frantic calls.

Residents of Clayton Quarters complained of erratic voltage supply to the locality, besides intermittent power cuts over the past week making their life miserable. As a result of voltage fluctuation, their electrical appliances were getting damaged, they said. The story was not so different in Baghdadi, Nazimabad, North Nazimabad, North Karachi, New Karachi, Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Gulistan-i-Jauhar, Malir, Landhi and Korangi.
