KARACHI, April 8: The World Bank will extend a sum of $100 million for the promotion of education in Sindh.

This was stated by Sindh Education Minister Dr Hamida Khuhro.

She had a meeting with the team of the World Bank here on Saturday.

The minister said that this amount would be made available to the Sindh Education Department soon. She stated that the money would be used for the promotion of education in the province as well as recruitment and training of the teachers.

This, Dr Khuhro, believed, would help substantially improve education in Sindh.—APP
