KARACHI, March 20: The anti-malaria staff of the Health Department, City District Government of Karachi, continues the insecticide spray campaign in the city, while fumigation is also being carried out in storm-water drains to check the spread of mosquitoes and other harmful insects.

During the campaign, spray was carried out in Jamshed and Site towns at 6pm under the supervision of EDO for Health Dr A.D. Sajnani and District Officer Dr Shaukat Zaman.

Moreover, the anti-malaria team of the Health Department sprayed insecticides in Keamari Town while spray work in Baldia Town will be done on Wednesday and the entire spray campaign will be carried till April 2.

During this campaign, all towns are also performing spray work with their own vehicles while District Coordination Officer Fazlur Rehman has ordered the Fumigation and Vector Control Department to work under the EDO of the Health Department, city government.

This action has been taken to make the ongoing spray campaign successful.

The staff of the Health Department along with fumigation is also removing grass, plastic bags and waste and debris from the drains.—PPI
