KARACHI, March 13: On the directive of Sindh Local Government Minister Mohammed Hussain, strict action has been initiated by the Karachi Building Control Authority against the project Anarkali Bunglows on charge of serious violations of building bylaws.

On the other hand, the KBCA has declared constructions on railway land in Gulshan-i-Iqbal as illegal and cautioned public about the same.

In case of Anarkali Bunglows project, the minister had taken serious notice of irregularities brought to his notice at an open kutchery and he had issued strict instructions to the KBCA which cancelled the project’s NOC for advertisement and sale and also revoked builder license.

The KBCA issued notice to concerned builders to stop all kinds of construction, advertisement and sales campaign. The concerned zone was directed to seal the project constructions, site office and booking office. The people have been advised not to enter into any deal in this project.

People have been advised that the ongoing RCC constructions on railway land in Block-13 of Gulshan-i-Iqbal were also illegal as it neither had any layout plan nor was it a part of any legal housing scheme while no permission had been obtained from the concerned departments.

The authority warned citizens that no investment in any such substandard and illegal constructions be made, or else they would be responsible for any loss.—APP
