Ministry on filtration plants

Published March 7, 2007

LAHORE, March 6: The ministry of industries has announced that the process of pre-qualifying firms for installing filtration plants in union councils will be finalised within a fortnight.

In a clarification issued in response to a news carried by Dawn on Monday, the ministry said the pre-qualification was dependent on the choice of technology to be used in filtration plants. The ministry of science and technology was asked to choose and recommend an appropriate technology for the plants.

“We could not go ahead with the finalisation of technology. Now, the science and technology ministry has finalized the technology, the pre-qualification process has started and will be finalized within a fortnight,” the clarification says.
