Adnan leads Lions to easy victory

LAHORE, Feb 23: A fine unbeaten knock by Adnan Raza enabled Lahore Lions to earn six-wicket win against Hyderabad Hawks in the National One-day Cup Silver League at the LCCA ground on Friday.

Chasing a target of 187 to win, Adnan scored 61 as Lahore Lions achieved their objective

for the loss of four wickets in 43.4 overs. Adnan with Shahbaz Butt (35) added 97 runs in the unbroken fifth-wicket stand after the home team made a shaky start of losing four wickets for 93. Adnan hit four boundaries while facing 74 balls. Shahbaz cracked three boundaries in 52-ball knock.

Earlier, three wickets by leg-spinner Kashif Siddique bowled out Hyderabad for 186 in 48.4 overs, despite a fine knock of 86 by Shahid Qambrani. He struck one six and four boundaries off 104 balls. Rizwan Ahmed (31) was the second top scorer. Kashif gave away 29 runs.
