Lawyer, nephew hurt by robbers

LAHORE, Feb 7: Two robbers shot at a lawyer and his nephew on resistance in Jauhar Town on Wednesday morning.

Police said Anas, 16, was coming out of his house in 596-B Block when a robber intercepted him at the gate and both of them grappled with each other.

When Anas’s paternal uncle Advocate Shahzad Ahmad came to his rescue, another robber appeared on the scene and opened fire. Both the uncle and his nephew sustained injuries and were taken to Jinnah Hospital.

Meanwhile, robbers struck eight times and made off with cash and valuables here on Wednesday.

Robbers stormed into a house on Maqbool Road, Millat Park, and escaped with cash, jewellery and valuables.

Two robbers intercepted Ajmal in Sanda and snatched Rs2,500 in cash and a cell phone from him. As many robbers intercepted Khalid at Nonarian Chowk in Gulshan Ravi and deprived him of cash and a cell phone.

Three armed men barged into a general store in North Cantonment and took away Rs18,000, a cell phone and other valuables.
