KARACHI, Feb 6: Aurat Foundation, Women’s Action Forum, Citizens Action Committee for Women Rights and other civil society organisations will hold protest demonstrations across Sindh against the renewed incidents of gang-rapes and stoning to death of a couple in Multan, said a press statement on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the Aurat Foundation and other civil society organisations in Karachi will organise a protest walk and a demonstration outside the Karachi Press Club today.

Besides, all the civil society organisations will hold similar protest demonstrations in every district of Sindh. Citing reports, a spokesman for the foundation said the incidents of gang-rapes and attempts to rape had increased alarmingly for quite some time in Sindh.

The resident director of the Aurat Foundation, Anis Haroon, has asked all the district-level organisations and the civil society at large to join the protest.
