KARACHI, Feb 4: The Koocha-i-Saqafat, the city’s weekly cultural extravaganza, was held on M.R. Kiyani Road on Sunday after two weeks of suspension due to Muharram.

All the three sections comprising the art centre, the book bazaar and the furniture and artisans were there to sell their stuff while the fourth section where food varieties were on sale was buzz with activity.

The organisers also held a quiz show for children on the topic of Muharram and Islam.

Besides, a Mehfil-e-Masalma was also organised in which city’s poets paid tribute to Hazrat Imam Hussain and his companions for their great sacrifice in Karbala.
