KARACHI, Jan 31: The Sindh Health Department is constituting a board to interview doctors, pertaining to specialist cadre, for their promotion from grade 18 to grade 19 and from grade 19 to grade 20.

The Health Secretary, Professor Naushad A Shaikh said on Wednesday said a summary had been forwarded by Health Minister, Syed Sardar Ahmed to promote 108 doctors of specialists cadre. Chief Minister Dr. Arbab Ghulam Rahim has approved promotion of 58 doctors to grade 19 and another 50 to grade 20 respectively.

These promotions which are over due, will cost the exchequer Rs12 million to meet the additional expenditure. — APP
