Dawn reporter laid to rest

SUKKUR, Jan 22: Senior journalist, Sukkur Press Club president and Dawn correspondent, Shamim Shamsi, who died at a Karachi hospital on Sunday, was laid to rest at his family graveyard here on Monday. A large number of people from different walks of life – including journalists, politicians and businessmen -- attended his funeral prayers. Journalists held condolence meetings in Daharki, Jacobabad, Khairpur and other parts of upper Sindh to express grief over the death of their colleague.
