KARACHI, Jan 22: A young man and a woman were found dead in their car in Gulistan-i-Jauhar on Monday morning. The bodies were shifted to Jinnah hospital where the man was identified as Zakir Hussain, 28, son of Ghulam Hussain, while the woman, stated to be in her 20s, remained unidentified.

Quoting the statement of Zakir’s relatives, police said the woman was victim’s fiancée. However, the family did not tell her name, they said.

Doctors said both the man and the woman had received two bullets each in their upper torso.

The car was found abandoned near the gate of Sindh Baloch Society in Block 12 of Gulistan-i-Jauhar. Some residents heard the shots at 3am. However, the matter was reported to police at 6:30am.

Police said Zakir was a resident of Frontier Colony and used to work as a money changer at the airport.
