CHITRAL: Office-bearers take oath

CHITRAL, Jan 21: The oath-taking ceremony for the newly-elected office-bearers of the Chitral Press Club was held here on Sunday.

MNA from Chitral Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali administered oath to the CPC office-bearers. Speaking on the occasion, Maulana Chitrali said that President Gen Pervez Musharraf was trying to ‘westernise’ the Pakistani society and had enacted the Protection of Women Act for the same purpose.

Those who took oath of office included president Zahiruddin, vice-president Jahangir Jigar, general secretary Raheem Baig, office secretary Taj Mohammad and treasurer Noor Afzal Khan.
