Saif excels for Rangers Gymkhana

KARACHI, Jan 18: Saif Ashraf struck a brilliant unbeaten century to help Rangers Gymkhana gain a two-run win over Students Sports in the NBP-KCCA Inter Club Cricket Tournament here on Wednesday at the Students Ground.

Saif blasted 13 fours in his 102 as the victors posted 230-2 in the allotted 40 overs. Abdul Wahab (52) and Sanaullah (51) were the other contributors.

Rangers Gymkhana then restricted Students Sports to 228 in 40 overs with M Usman (89) being the top scorer.

In another match at Al Mansoora Ground, Raja Irfan (75) and Hameed Baloch (63) steered Pak Crescent Cricket Club to a massive 148-run triumph over Lasania Cricket Club.

Meanwhile, Orangi Muslim Cricket Club gained full points when they overcame Pak Farman Cricket Club by three wickets at the Shadab Ground. Kamran’s 50-run knock for the winners was the highlight of the match.
