GUJAR KHAN, Jan 18: The additional sessions judge awarded rigorous imprisonment of 22 months each to two drug peddlers and acquitted six persons in a murder case here on Wednesday.

Convict Mohammad Sohail, resident of Akora Khatak, was booked by the Gujar Khan police under the control of narcotics act. Besides the imprisonment Rs1,000 fine was imposed on the convict and in case of non payment, he would under go two more months of imprisonment.

Another drug convict Asghar Ali, resident of Akora Khatak, was also given the same punishment.

Meanwhile, the court in the Shamrez murder case acquitted six accused including Zuilfiqar, Ms Shamim and Manazar Rehman after they reconciled with the complainant Babar Sohail.
