Hissam propels team to victory

LAHORE, Jan 8: Four-goal Hissam Ali Hyder propelled No Sponsor to a 8-6 1/2 win over Army in the Warid Polo Cup on Monday. Hissam struck one goal each in the first and second chukker and back-to-back goals in the fourth.

Shah Qubilai Alam and Faaiz Rahim Khan also contributed two goals each.

For the losers, who had a half-goal handicap, Omar Minhas scored five. One goal was chipped in by Khurshid Ahmed.

In another match of the day, four goals by Taimur Ali Malik and three each by Raja Samiullah and Taimur Mawaz Khan helped Guard Rice crush Data Hybrid Corn 12- 4 1/2. Samir Suhag added two goals.

For the losers, who had a 3 1/2 goal handicap, the solitary goal came through Ahmed Zubair.
