KARACHI, Dec 28: Various local leaders and workers of Pakistan Muslim League (Functional) on Thursday called on Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah, president of the newly formed Sindh United Party (SUP) and joined the party.

According to an SUP spokesman, those PML-F leaders who joined SUP along with their workers and supporters included Haji Abdur Razzaq Parhiar, Suleman Parhiar, Jani Shah Bukhari, Ismail Junejo and others. All of them belonged to Keamari Town. They informed the SUP chief of the longstanding problems of the people of Keamari and fishing community at large.

Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah told them the SUP would strive to get the villages along coastal areas regularised. He said forced eviction of fishermen from the islands of Sindh clearly showed that the provincial government had no power to raise voice against the injustices perpetrated by the federal government.
