KARACHI: Man dies in accident

KARACHI, Dec 27: A young man was killed in a road accident on M.T Khan Road on Wednesday. Police said cyclist Zareen, 38, was passing through the junction of the Mai Kolachi and M.T Khan Road when a speeding vehicle hit him and sped away. The victim was taken to the Jinnah Hospital for legal formalities.

FIRE: Over a dozen shops were gutted at Banaras Chowk late Tuesday night. However, no casualty was reported in the fire, a spokesman for the Fire Department said. The fire broke out, apparently due to a short-circuit, in the Khyber Market housing the shops of used cloths and spread quickly to other shops.
