MARDAN, Dec 20: A young man committed suicide in the Lund Khwar area here after a quarrel with his mother, while another man was injured after he was attacked by his neighbours in the same area.
The youth who took his own life was identified as Ziaullah.
Meanwhile, the accused identified as Sartaj, Amanullah and Siraj of Mutti Banda (Lund Khwar) allegedly opened fire on a neighbour identified as Abdul Ghafar who was seriously injured. The refusal to entertain a marriage proposal was reportedly behind the attack.
Local police have lodged FIRs in both cases and have started investigations.
