ISLAMABAD, Dec 20: Chairman Senate, Mohammedmian Soomro, has underlined the need for greater interaction between the businessmen of India and Pakistan and observed that "we can learn and benefit a lot from each other’s experiences."

Mr Soomro made these observations while talking to Indian businessmen and exporters during a visit to the office of the Indian Agriculture and Processed Food Development Authority (APEDA), says a message received here by Senate Secretariat from New Delhi.

The chairman of APEDA, Mr K S Maney gave a detailed presentation to the Senate chairman about the aims and objectives of setting up of the authority and the performance of APEDA.

He told Mr Soomro that more than 30 per cent of the total 10 million dollar Indian agriculture exports is arranged by APEDA.

The Senate chairman stated that Pakistan would welcome Indian businessmen to identify areas where the two countries could strengthen cooperation.
