KARACHI: Paintings at V.M. Art

Published December 20, 2006

KARACHI, Dec 19: “Glimmerings” an exhibition by Sara Riaz Khan an artist from Oman begins at V.M. Art gallery on December 20 at 5.30pm.

Colour instinctively motivates Sara. The reclamation of colour by scratching into the medium, letting the light back through and relaying with primer or masking fluid allows a range of subtle tones and washes. A strong negative shape is always attractive, there is much to explore in the spaces between.

Her work is diverse in terms of approach and application of medium. Each piece reflects some aspect of her understanding of the world.

The majority of work is landscape related but figures do feature in some pieces.

The show continues till 3rd January 2007 daily from 10am to 7pm except Sunday.
