Kashif takes Wapda in strong postion

KARACHI, Dec 16: Paceman Kashif Raza in a fiery spell of six overs took four wickets for 12 runs to take Wapda in a winning position on the second day of the four-day Patrons Trophy quadrangular round match at the NBP Sports Complex on Saturday.

KRL, which conceded 133-run first innings lead to Wapda, were in deep trouble at 19 for four wickets in their second innings at close of the day’s play. KRL are still 115 runs behind with six wickets in hands to avoid an innings defeat.

Wapda earlier resuming at overnight score of 58 for no loss, were all out for 260 in their first innings with Asim Masood Butt and Zulqarnain Haider hitting half centuries.

Asim hit six boundaries in his 72 while Zulqarnain smashed 52 with the help of six boundaries.
