SHEIKHUPURA, Dec 13: A businessman was deprived of Rs200,000, a cell phone and other valuables here on Wednesday near Faisalabad bypass, some 4km away from the city.

Reports said Hassan Muhammad along with his friend was on way to Lahore from Shahkot by a car. Near the bypass, three unidentified robbers riding a car intercepted them and made off with cash and valuables from Mr Hassan.

The businessman told journalists that robbers had hit him two months back while police were doing nothing except drawing salaries. Saddar police are looking into the matter.

In another incident, two armed men stormed into Ali’s PCO on Faisalabad Road and took away a cash of Rs4,000, calling cards worth Rs15,000 and other valuables.
