KARACHI, Dec 13: Malir Town Nazim Ansar Ahmed Shaikh has agreed to a proposal of Asian Development Bank regarding water distribution system. During a meeting with ADB officials, the nazim suggested that the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board be handed over to the city government and towns to improve its performance.

The officials proposed that the water board was ready to provide water to the town through bulk lines and the town could further distribute water and generate revenue, which might be used in other development works. The town nazim agreed to this proposal.

LYARI TOWN: Lyari Town Nazim Malik Fayyaz asked sanitation officials to increase manpower and number of garbage lifting vehicles in all union councils of the town to improve the state of cleanliness.
