Murder during robbery?

LAHORE, Dec 10: A 30-year-old man was found shot dead in his car in South Cantt early Sunday. He was believed to have been killed by robbers when they met resistance. His wallet and cell phone were found missing.

The South Cantonment SPO, however, claimed that Irfan, 30, a resident of Nadirabad and ran a rent-a-car business, was murdered by unidentified people who left his body in his car on Bedian Road.

He said there was no blood on the spot or in the car. He said Irfan, a father of two daughters, might have been killed at some other place.

His father Rafique told police that his son had no enmity with any one.

Despite his statement, the police have registered a murder case.

Robbers shot at a passer-by on resistance near Rohi Drain in the Nishtar Colony area.

Two robbers came to Ilyas General Store in the Gujjarpura area and took away his new motorcycle and cell phone.

Three armed people barged into Abdul Gaffar’s shop in Iqbal Town and snatched Rs35,000 in cash and a cell phone while Azam, Arshad and Baber, three friends, were deprived of Rs5,000 in cash and three cell phones in Ravi Road area.

Two robbers intercepted Imran in Qila Gujjar Singh and snatched Rs1,600 in cash and a cell phone, while as many robbers deprived Azam of cash and a cell phone near Bismillah Chowk in Iqbal Town area.

Unidentified robbers took cash in thousands and a cell phone from Shaikh Sabir’s shop in Baghbanpura area while armed men deprived a passer-by of Rs250 and a cell phone in Nishtar Colony.
