KANDAHAR, Dec 6: A suicide bomber killed two Americans and five Afghans outside a US security firm's office here on Wednesday.

The bomber approached the US Protection and Investigation compound in Kandahar and detonated explosives strapped to his body, blowing himself into pieces, officials and the firm said. “The USPI announces a suicide bomber attacked their Kandahar operation early Wednesday. Two Americans and three Afghans were killed and many were injured,” a statement issued by the company said, adding that all the dead worked for it.

An interior ministry spokesman said two Afghan interpreters linked to the firm were also killed, bringing the death toll to seven.
