KARACHI, Nov 19: Chairperson of Pakistan People’s Party (SB) Ghinwa Bhutto has slammed the government for pursuing policies which are detrimental to national interests.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, she said although it was claimed that Pakistan was playing the role of a frontline state in the war against terror, the country itself had been a victim of terrorism.

She accused the rulers of adopting ill-advised policies to promote interests of the United States and other imperialist forces.

The PPP-SB leader expressed concern over the bomb blasts in Lahore and Peshawar which killed four people and wounded 16 others.

She said Pakistan was faced with a crisis of political, economical and constitutional nature and it could overcome this crisis by resisting foreign influence and protecting its sovereignty.
