KARACHI, Nov 17: Goods transporters on Friday called off their strike following successful negotiations with the Sindh minister for transport and industries. The Supreme Council of All Karachi Transport Ittehad and Transporters of Goods Association had jointly called a strike three days back to press the government to meet their demands about withdrawal of parking fee at the Hawkesbay truck stand, supply of clean water to the truck stand, reduction in petroleum prices, withdrawal of additional motor vehicle fee, police protection to transporting goods and others.

The Sindh minister for transport, Adil Siddiqui, held talks with goods transporters on Friday evening and convinced them to call off their strike.
