KARACHI, Nov 16: The female MPAs in Sindh Asssembly on Thursday paid rich compliments to President General Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz besides PML, MQM, PPP and other parties for their support in the passage of Women Rights Bill in the National Assembly.

They described the passage of Women Rights Bill a historic feat of the present government and said it would go a long way in providing protection to women.

Mrs Bilquees Mukhtar, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) MPA and Dr Saeeda Malik, Provincial Minister for Women Development said the government had provided protection to womanfolk as per the Quran and the Sunnah.

They said the bill not only provides protection to women but also to men.

Sindh Minister Irfanullah Khan Marwat also complimented the government on the passage of this bill.

Hameedullah Khan Advocate from Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) said that the rights given in Islam to women have not been given by any other religion.
