KARACHI: Moot on global scenario

KARACHI, Nov 13: An international conference is being organised by the Institute of Clinical Psychology, University of Karachi, on Nov 14. An announcement to this effect was made by a KU spokesman on Monday.

He said that the theme of the moot was “Emerging global scenario: survival of Muslim youth in the realm of violence and mental health of children, adolescents and adults: etiology, prevalence and treatment”.

KU vice-chancellor Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui will chair the opening session. Sindh Environment Minister Dr Sagheer Ahmed will be the chief guest on the occasion.

The welcome address will be presented by the dean of the KU faculty of Arts, Prof Dr Mohammad Shamsuddin.

Dr Shazia Hassan, senior research officer of the Institute of Clinical Psychology, University of Karachi, will be the session coordinator.—APP
