MUZAFFARABAD, Oct 29: Abdul Rehman Ghazi, a veteran of Kashmir freedom struggle, was buried in a southern village of Azad Kashmir on Sunday, three days after his death in the United Kingdom.

Nearly 90 years old, the late Rehman Ghazi was a close associate of the late leader of the National Conference, Shaikh Mohammad Abdullah, and stood by his ideology till his death.

Among the mourners were AJK Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmad Khan, his father and former premier Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan, Jammu Kashmir Liberation League president Abdul Majeed Malick and some sitting and former ministers and lawmakers.

Paying tribute to Rehman Ghazi, Sardar Qayyum and Malick said he was a true political activist.

“Although he was politically against us, but we respected him due to his commitment and dedication to his ideology,” said Sardar Qayyum.
