Accidents leave two dead in Sahiwal

SAHIWAL, Oct 23: Two people were killed and three others injured in different road accidents here on Sunday evening. An overspeeding car crushed a family sitting along Jhal Road near Mazdoor Pully. Akif, 4, died on the spot while his father, Saeed Ahmad, and uncle Akbar sustained injuries. The injured were taken to hospital where their condition was stated to be serious.

Car driver Naeem Sarwar managed to escape from the scene.

Ina nother incident, Manzoor and Zahoor were hit by a motorcycle. They were taken to the DHQ Hospital where Manzoor succumbed to his injuries.

Sajjad and Iqbal had an enmity with Faisal and Zahid. On Sept 10, Faisal, Zahid, Nasir, Noor Jamal and Amin killed Sajjad and Iqbal.

Police registered a case and arrested Faisal and Zahid. Noor Jamal and Amin were granted pre-arrest bail by the additional district and sessions judge till Oct 26. Nasir is still at large.
