KARACHI, Oct 20: Sindh chief minister’s advisor on home affairs Waseem Akhtar has said while police are making every effort to control street crimes and provide protection to people, each citizen should also be duty-bound not to buy a stolen mobile telephone.

Inaugurating a shopping mall here on Friday, the advisor warned shopkeepers not to buy stolen mobile phone.

He pointed out that in case there would be higher number of crimes in an area, the respective police officers would be accountable for the same and would face strict action.
