Okara DPO’s transfer cancelled

LAHORE, Oct 17: The Punjab government has cancelled the transfer of Okara DPO Dr Usman Anwar to FIA. He was retained in the CPO till the decision of a case registered in Baseerpur police station against a former district naib nazim.

Dr Anwar is proceeding on a DNA-cum murder case which is also being heard by the Supreme Court. His investigation have already held former naib nazim Syed Abbas Raza Rizvi guilty in the murder of a woman.

Meanwhile, the services of Chief Minister’s Secretariat additional secretary Amir Zameer were handed over to the Walled City Project Director General for further posting.

Faisalabad DIG Prisons Kaukab Nadeem Warriach was promoted to BS-19 and allowed to continue on his present assignment.

Directorate of Statistics Director General Muhammad Ramazan was given one year extension in service.
