DADU, Oct 16: The district and sessions judge issued show-cause notices to the in-charge of Kakar police post, ASI Riaz Soomro, and constables Bangal Brohi, Nazir Brohi and Arbab Soomro on Monday for allegedly torturing two villagers.

The villagers, Nazir and Mureed, had filed a complaint at the court stating that the policemen led by ASI Riaz Soomro raided their house in Qadir Bux village and robbed Rs20,000 cash.

They then detained them in the lockup and released them after subjecting them to torture for two hours some five days ago.
