PESHAWAR, Oct 12: NWFP Minister for Archaeology and Museums Hussain Ahmad Kanju has said the government will develop archaeology, museums and tourism sectors in the province, which will earn the provincial government billions of rupees in foreign exchange.

He was talking to a South Korean delegation here on Thursday.

The delegation showed interest in investing in the archaeology sector.

The minister said the government planned to develop archaeological sites and tourist resorts in the province to attract local and foreign tourists.

In the first phase of the plan, he said, tourists would be given facilities, including entertainment and communication, and in the second phase, efforts would be made to explore new archaeological sites and tourist spots, for which sites had already been identified.
