KARACHI: Firing of 2,000 men condemned

KARACHI, Oct 10: The National Labour Federation (Karachi Zone) has expressed concern over dismissal of 2000 daily wagers of PTCL, terming it a cruel and illegal step.

The PTCL leaders termed it an anti-people act. They termed it another bitter fruit of the privatization policy.

They said that government's claim of providing job security to PTCL workers after privatization had proved wrong.—PPI
