KARACHI, Oct 7: Trailing 10-15 at the end of first quarter, Neighbourhood United first division stormed back to register 56-48 victory over Nishtar Club in the opening match of Neighbourhood United Ramazan basketball tournament at Arambagh floodlit court Friday night.The second quarter saw winners making a comeback to surge ahead 31-26. Enjoying a slender 41-40 lead in the next quarter they enhanced their tally to seal the fate 56-48.

Raja Jehanzeb Zahid capitalised most of the scoring chances to emerge top scorer with 27 points. He was ably assisted by Salman (13).

M. Haroon and M. Jamil contributed 13 and 12 points for the losers.

Arambagh Club earned full points when they notched up 63-51 victory over Pak Brothers Mirpurkhas in the group “B”.

The winners led 25-24 at half time.

Sultan Habib (12) and Ashraf Yayha (10) were the main contributors for winners. Karamatullah and Dilip Singh scored 12 and 10 points for losers.
