KARACHI, Oct 3: The four-year degree programme at Karachi University is not only against the interests of higher education but also amounts to depriving the poor students of their right to acquire knowledge.
This was stated by Islami Jamiat Talaba Nazim Zuhair Qidwai while addressing a protest demonstration in front of KU administration block on Tuesday.
Holding placards and banners, a number of students participated in peaceful demonstration and demanded KU administration to abandon plans to launch four-year degree programme from the next academic session.—PPI
