KHAIRPUR: Man, woman found dead

KHAIRPUR, Sept 30: Bullet-riddled bodies of a man and woman were found in a date palm orchard near Mubarak Shah village on Saturday.

Police brought the bodies to the Ahmedpur police station and post-mortem was conducted at the Pir Jo Goth rural health centre.

The deceased were identified as Rubina, 20, daughter of Ali Hassan Maitlo, a resident of Saeed Maitlo village and Deedar, 25, son of Qadan Maitlo of Dur Mohammad Maitlo village.

The man and woman were missing since Friday. Some unknown armed men killed both after subjecting them to severe torture.

The motive behind the murders is said to be karo-kari.

No case was registered till the filing of this report.
