KARACHI, Feb 13: Twenty-eight vehicles — 12 cars and 16 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Wednesday, the police said.

Six cars were hijacked. Six others were stolen.

Eleven motorcycles were hijacked. Five others were stolen.

PRISONER DIES: A prisoner died in Karachi Central Jail on Wednesday morning.

The police said that prisoner Naseeb Gul, aged 45, died on the way when he was being taken to Civil Hospital.

The prisoner had been ailing for a long time, but the precise nature of his illness could not be known immediately, the police said. Gul was serving his jail term for a murder case.
