KARACHI, Sept 26: The Islami Jamiat Talba staged a protest demonstration outside Karachi Press Club here on Tuesday against rustication of two students of the Dow University of Health and Sciences.

A large number of students carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against expulsion of the students demanded withdrawal of the decision.

They chanted slogans against the varsity administration and condemned it for such anti-students acts.

Addressing the demo, IJT activists said that rulers wanted to secularize educational institutions as per the US agenda. They said that retraining students from holding gatherings of learning Quran (Dars-i-Quran) was a part of American agenda.

They vowed to resist such acts and threatened befitting protest. They demanded lifting ban on of holding Dars-i-Quran in educational institutes, withdrawal of decision of rustication of students, and recent increase in fees.

They vowed to continue their protest till their demands were fulfilled. —PPI
