KARACHI, Sept 22: Four persons were gunned down in two separate incidents in various areas of the city here on Friday.

Three persons were killed near Akbar Road in Preedy police limits in the small hours on Friday. They were identified as Ayaz Butt, 30, and Waqas Butt, 21, brothers and residents of Ratan Street, Saeed Manzil and the third one was identified as Deen Mohammad alias Fazil, 30, a resident of Akbar Road.

Police sources said that some gangsters, kidnapped Ayaz Butt, subjected him to torture and shot him dead near Akbar Road. Having killed Akbar, the gangsters rang up the deceased’s brother Waqas to lift the body. As Waqas along with his friend Deen Mohammad, reached the spot, they were fired upon by the alleged criminals. They received bullets and fell to the ground.

The gangsters again called Sheeraz Butt, another brother of the two deceased and asked him to lift the bodies of his two brothers. Sheeraz instead of following directions informed the police who reached the spot and found the bodies lying in a pool of blood.

Area police said that the triple murder was a result of an old rivalry. Police registered a case against Usman, Imran, Sohail and others on complaint of Ayub Butt, the father of the two deceased brothers and registered another case, against the deceased brothers on complaint of Sajid, the brother of deceased Deen Mohammad.

Abdul Hameed, 35, a labourer and a resident of Gul Mohammad Lane Lyari, was shot dead near Street No 15 Gul Mohammad Lane in Kalakot police limits.

Police were clueless to the killers saying that they had registered a case against unknown culprits.
