KARACHI: KBCA body to monitor projects

KARACHI, Sept 16: The chief controller of the Karachi Building Control Authority (KBCA) on Saturday formed a special committee to resolve the rising complaints about the lack of infrastructure and basic utilities in projects of residential flats, plots and bungalows in the city.

Senior Controller Ali Zafar Qadri has been appointed as the chairman of the committee, while Controller of Buildings (Complaints) Qazi Mumtaz Iqbal and Controller of Building (Design) Iqbal Aziz as members, said a KBCA release issued here.

It further said that the TBCO would also discharge duties as members of this committee in their respective areas.

The KCBA would take steps for approval of the project plan after conducting survey through this committee to ensure availability of utility facilities like presence of infrastructure, electricity and water in residential projects.--PPI
