KARACHI: Ill-planned network

KARACHI, Sept 3: Schools in the entire town have been established in a disorganized way, as some areas have a very few schools while in others there are many.

In Union Council No 1, there are 17 schools while there are only three schools in UC-6. In the rest of union councils, the number of schools is: UC-2, UC-3 and UC-4 have 17 schools each, UC-5 has 19 schools, UC-7 has four schools, UC-8 has seven schools, UC-9 has five schools, UC-10 has 11 schools, UC-11 has 16 schools, UC-12 has 19 schools and UC-13 has only five schools.

There are 109 coeducation schools while 22 schools are boys lower secondary, seven girls lower secondary, 10 boys high schools, seven girls high schools and three girls higher secondary schools.
