LAHORE, Sept 2: Crackdown on spurious pesticide manufacturers will continue throughout the province. Official sources said here on Saturday that a number of complaints were received from Multan, Sahiwal, and Vehari about the sale of spurious pesticides.

Agriculture department sources said some manufacturers of spurious pesticide in Vehari and Multan districts had gone underground and assured that crackdown would continue with the cooperation of law enforcing agencies till their arrest.

Sources said the chief minister had taken serious notice of the manufacturing of spurious pesticides and had issued directive to launch drive against those elements.—APP
