KARACHI, Aug 27: Shah Faisal Town Nazim Muhammad Imran on Sunday announced launching of week-long cleanliness drive from Aug 28 to Sept 2.

All the damaged roads would be repaired besides removing the filth from roads and streets during the cleanliness-week, he said while addressing town officers at a meeting held after making a detailed visit to different areas of the town.

He said that the saplings would be planted at green belts, central islands and roundabouts and issued necessary instructions to this effect.

Stressing upon the officials concerned to show their performance, he warned that no slackness would be tolerated in removing heaps of garbage seen in different areas. He also directed the KWSB officials to plug all the leakage in the water supply and sewerage lines initiating immediate survey of the system.
