SUKKUR, Aug 25: Three people, two of them women, were killed in what has been described as karo-kari murders in Buxapur and Sukkur on Thursday. Accused Hamal Jaffery killed his wife Ferozan, 18, in Usman Domki village after dubbing her kari. He and his brother later went to the house of Arib and shot him dead as karo.

Ramzan Jaffery, the brother of Arib, registered a case at the Buxapur police station against Hamal and his brother Nawab Jaffery.

No arrest was made by police.

In another incident in Waspur Muhalla in the C-section police area in Sukkur, a married woman was killed by her brother after being labelled a kari.

She was identified as Shama, wife of Manthar Shaikh.

The accused Nawaz Shaikh surrendered to the police and confessed the crime.
