KARACHI, Aug 24: Leader Jamaat-i-Islami Sindh chief Dr Mumtaz Ali Memon said on Wednesday that after killing an innocent villager Rasool Bux Brohi in the garb of a notorious dacoit, police also killed several other innocent people in fake encounters and demanded independent inquiries into fresh allegations.

In a statement, he alleged that in Ghotki, one Liaquat Gabole while in Kashmore, two others identified as Darvesh and Bhoral Sher were killed in fake encounters by the police. Strongly condemning the new incidents in which innocent citizens were brutally killed by police, he said independent and transparent inquires should be conducted.—PPI
