KARACHI, Aug 22: Sindh Labour, Transport and Industry Minister Adil Siddiqui visited Landhi and Korangi Industrial Areas on Monday evening to take stock of the situation that had developed during rains.

During his visit, the minister directed the authorities concerned for draining out the accumulated rainwater and restoring smooth flow of traffic.

Shaikh Mazar Alam told the minister that owing to ongoing uplift works, the industrial activities were severely affected during the rains. Due to craters developed in the roads, the heavy containers could not enter into industrial area and currently the daily operation/loading and unloading of 250 to 300 containers was stopped and a number of orders had been cancelled, he said.
